Our pre-employment Health & Social Care training courses are designed to give you the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to secure a full-time role within the health and social care sector. These pathways provide a strong foundation for working with adults, children, young people, or in wider care settings.

  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties (Adult Pathway)

  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children & Young People’s Mental Health (Children & Young People Pathway) 

    •  Level 2 Award in Customer Service for Health & Social Care Settings

Our Health & Social Care courses are ideal for anyone looking to begin a rewarding career supporting individuals in care environments. Whether you choose the Adult route or the Children & Young People route, you’ll develop the entry-level skills and confidence needed to work safely and professionally in care roles.

The course is fully funded at no cost to you, providing you meet the eligibility criteria:

  • Aged 19+

  • UK / EU resident for 3+ years

  • Unemployed

  • Have access to a PC / Laptop

  • Good standard of Maths & English

Health & Social Care skills you’ll gain

By completing this course, you’ll gain the essential entry-level skills employers are looking for in the health and social care sector.

This includes an understanding of care standards, professional behaviours, person-centred support, customer service in care settings, safeguarding, and digital confidence — as well as accredited qualifications to help strengthen your CV.

Our health and social care training courses are funded by the UK government, meaning they’re available at no cost to you providing you meet our eligibility criteria.

Health & Social Care - Course content

When you enrol on one of our Health & Social Care training courses, you’ll complete key units with support from your expert Tutor to prepare you for an entry-level role in the sector.

These typically include units on supporting wellbeing, customer service in care settings, understanding learning needs, safeguarding, and essential digital and IT skills used in care environments.
