Our pre-employment Teaching Assistant Pathway training courses are designed to provide you with the essential knowledge, skills, and confidence required to help you secure a full-time role as a Teaching Assistant or similar role.

  •  Level 1 Award: Preparing to Work in Schools

    • Level 2 Certificate: Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties

Is this course right for me?

Our Teaching Assistant courses are ideal for beginners, giving you a solid introduction to supporting learning in schools. You’ll develop the practical skills and knowledge needed to work confidently in a classroom, from understanding your role as a Teaching Assistant, to supporting students and following school procedures.

The course is fully funded, at no cost to you, providing you meet the eligibility criteria:

  • Aged 19+

  • UK / EU resident for 3+ years

  • Unemployed

  • Have access to a PC / Laptop

  • Good standard of Maths & English

When you enrol on one of our Teaching Assistant training courses, you’ll complete key units with support from your expert tutor, preparing you for an entry-level role in a school environment.
