Back to Work Plato Training

This programme equips you with the practical skills and knowledge needed for working with children and infants in a nursery or similar early years settings, providing you with the essential training to ensure you're a prepared, capable, safe and productive day one Nursery/Early Years employee.

You'll also complete the following modules throughout your training:

  • Level 3 Safeguarding Children
  • Level 3 Keeping Children Safe & Online Safety
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene

About this Skills Bootcamp

Training is delivered in collaboration with leading employers by highly skilled sector experts with over 20 years’ experience within the industry.

This is complimented by employer-led workshops and work experience, giving you a high-quality learning experience, including access to ongoing support with any challenges to learning you may have, providing a flexible, interactive and practical way for you to quickly gain sector-specific skills, technical knowledge, understand necessary behaviours and produce an industry-recognised training portfolio valued by employers within the Early Years sector.

You'll also have access to Key Support Mentors during the Bootcamp providing coaching, mentoring and supporting you with:

  • Career information advice and guidance

  • Interview preparation

  • Dveloping your soft/transferable skills to enhance your future career progression

It’s also fully funded, at no cost to you, providing you meet the following eligibility criteria.

  • Aged 19+

  • UK / EU resident for 3+ years

  • Unemployed

  • Have access to a PC / Laptop

  • Good standard of Maths & English

Work experience placement

Following successful completion of training, graduates will have a work experience placement within our partner ‘Kids Planet’ Nursery’s (5 settings in Oxfordshire) and are provided guaranteed interviews with local recruiting employers for live vacancies for Early Years/Child Care setting-based jobs, including:

  • Nursery Assistant

  • After School Club Practitioner

  • Lunchtime/Support Assistant

  • Supervisor

  • Nursery Worker

These roles can offer significant flexibilities in terms of work patterns and location that can positively impact your work/life balance.

They also provide employment with considerable opportunity to progress and build your skills and knowledge through CPD training and even apprenticeships.
